
Contractor & Gov. Property Lead

Currently seeking a Contractor & Government Property Lead to join forces with a well-established company located in Herndon, VA who has been supporting the R&D, DOD and NASA space for the past 40+ years. We specialize in laser and electro-optic systems, with key contributions to atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors.
This long-term, permanent and direct position is open for hybrid support, onsite 3 days a week, remote for the other 2 days. No clearance required!
Overview
Manage all government/customer property (whether contractor acquired or government/customer furnished) in accordance with
FAR 52.245-1
and supplemental regulations. (example of typical property: parts associated with laser sensing & comms).
Prepare and submit annual Property reports.
Record/track transfers of Property including Property in the possession of subcontractors.
Manage contract closeout functions related to Property including disposition.
Lead both internal and DCMA Property audits.
Develop and implement Property Management plans.

Requirements
3-8 years of relative experience
MUST
understand all aspects of FAR 52.245-1 and supplemental regulations
Experience with Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE)
Completed degree desired but may consider experience in lieu of education
US Citizenship required. (clearance NOT required)
Ability to work onsite in Herndon, VA 3 days each week

Prior or current Laser and/or Electro-Optical experience

This position is a stand-alone role without any reports. You will report directly to the Director of Contracts.
