Personal Lines Underwriter Trainee

We are seeking an individual who wants to make an impact on the future of a successful, growing property & casualty insurance company.
Responsibilities
Support Personal Lines Underwriting Team with growth, profit and loss objectives.
Assist with Personal line underwriting (e.g., selection of applicants, classification and determination of proper coverage, determination of appropriate rate or premium, producer and policyholder service).
Processing of policies, endorsements and cancellations.
Understudy of professional staff.
Assuring that Company policies and standards are being adhered to.
Support departmental projects as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or its equivalency
Comparable work experience in insurance, financial services or a related industry, preferred
Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Efficient written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel when necessary.
This position is being hired with a flexible work location and may be filled at either an entry or skilled level, commensurate with experience.
