Location The property offers 73 guest rooms and 12 single-level penthouse residences, all with sweeping views of Idaho’s Rocky Mountains. Guests and owners will enjoy an elevated level of personalized service and an extensive amenity suite, including a 5,700-square-foot full-service spa, a 1,500-square-foot fitness center, six treatment rooms, an indoor thermal pool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam rooms. A state-of-the-art rooftop observatory and outdoor terrace bar will provide unobstructed access to the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve, the first designated preserve of its kind in the U.S. and one of only 12 globally.
Overview We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our pre-opening team. The Marketing manager will be instrumental in driving topline revenue and brand visibility for the resort through the execution of integrated marketing strategies, seasonal campaigns, and compelling activations and experiences. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, on-site restaurant and spa teams, and Viceroy corporate marketing team, this role brings global brand initiatives to life at the property level while ensuring a strong sense of place and relevance to the destination.
This role is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for mountain lifestyle, experiential travel, and luxury/lifestyle hospitality, someone who can seamlessly blend strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. It is critical to have knowledge of mountain resort destinations. The preference for this role is to be located on-site, in Ketchum, Idaho.
Overview The Marketing manager will have a proven track record working in a similar scope marketing role at a luxury destination resort. This individual will be responsible for executing property-level marketing initiatives that align with broader brand strategy, support commercial goals, and elevate the guest experience across all touchpoints. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, attention to detail, creative problem‑solving, knowledge of experiential and luxury travel trends, and the ability to translate brand vision into impactful, on‑the‑ground campaigns partnerships, and storytelling moments.
Responsibilities General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with DOSM to execute the annual marketing/PR/market positioning strategy based on company goals, revenue targets, and brand priorities
Collaborate closely with Viceroy corporate brand marketing team to localize and activate brand campaigns, seasonal narratives, and key initiatives at the property level
Ensure a cohesive and integrated marketing approach across the resort, restaurants, and spa, balancing individual outlet needs with overarching brand consistency
Coordinate events, media visits, influencer stays, and press FAMs with DOSM, ensuring experiences are aligned with brand positioning, commercial needs, and storytelling goals
Ensure the balance and integration of Resort, Restaurant, and Spa marketing needs are met
Attend and/or conduct marketing meetings as needed
Manage integrated marketing campaigns across PR, Revenue, Social marketing, Digital marketing and distribution, including but not limited to partnerships, group promotions, leisure promotions, social catering events as needed
Liaison with a variety of partners, including travel industry consortiums, PR firms, Social Media firms, and other accounts as needed
Work with designated third-party representation companies regarding PR and marketing needs as directed by the DOSM and/or Viceroy corporate team
Manage and liaise with creative/advertising and PR agencies to create collateral pieces and build press‑worthy stories and events
Create and support client events
Work in tandem with DOSM to secure new strategic partners and follow through with execution of strategic marketing‑oriented action plans with partners
Build media and marketing plans, tracking performance and ROI through analytics and reporting
Create and maintain a PR action plan and content calendar aligned with seasonal themes business priorities
Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual recaps, highlighting performance, insights, and opportunities
Participate in weekly meetings, daily briefings as required
Lead by example with respect to the Viceroy Values and Brand Standards.
Perform other job duties and projects as directed
Qualifications Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience in a luxury/lifestyle hotel/resort background required.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar marketing/PR role
Pre‑opening experience a plus.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Service‑oriented mindset with an approachable, authentic, and engaging demeaner
Be able to effectively present information to customers, clients and other colleagues.
Must be service oriented and be able to multi‑task.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
