
Community Relations Intern (Fall Semester) a year

The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region (ELC) is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides services to families, children, and childcare providers in the seven counties that comprise northern Florida’s Big Bend Region: Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla.
The ELC seeks dynamic students who want a hands‑on internship experience to support various departments and units.
Internship positions are scheduled for at least 12 hours per week and the ELC is flexible with scheduling intern hours around class schedules
This position will receive a stipend
Criminal background screen required and ELC participates in the E‑Verify system
Qualifications:
Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level classification inBusiness, Hospitality/Tourism, or Public Relations, or related field
Candidate should have strong MS Office skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a team player, and be detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve the highest productivity while maintaining work quality
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
GPA equal to or greater than 3.0
Duties:
Assist with the development of signature event, campaigns, initiatives and meeting planning
Assist withthe management of various eventsand activities(including planning, and logistics).
Assist in proactive community outreach
Assist with child care resources
Assist with the facilitation of internal and external communications
Assist with preparing action plans, program and close‑out reports
