Summary: The Sales Manager, Wear Parts and Repair, is responsible for driving new business development in competitor systems, hole baskets for Bird screens, and repair services. This position is key in supporting the development of growth and supply chain strategies, collaborating with leadership to align objectives, and effectively communicating and executing our growth strategy. The Sales Manager is also accountable for leveraging and equipping the Regional Sales Managers and others within the Voith Team as needed, to support growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Identify and leverage quantifiable and sustainable competitive advantages within defined markets / opportunities through Voith’s value based selling approach

Leverage market, process, product and service knowledge to aid in directing team towards the appropriate solutions that support customers and growth initiatives.

Aid in developing and defining growth and supply chain strategies to achieve NA Wear Parts orders received targets

Clearly conveys the business's strategic objectives, collaborating with the leadership team and Regional Sales Managers to establish and oversee well-defined goals that drive market share growth and enhance profitability.

Issue regular reports on volume forecasts, progress versus targeted goals, resource needs, critical business issues, and opportunities for business growth

Work cross-functionally to achieve alignment on strategic and tactical objectives with other functional areas including operations, purchasing, etc.

Collaborate with internal teams to support efforts to assure customer satisfaction and account retention

Collaborate with Product Management to establish pricing benchmark guidelines and pricing strategies to drive growth and profitability

Participate in and contribute to regular divisional strategy meetings

Required Skills/Abilities:

General knowledge of Pulp and Paper mill operations

Ability to effectively influence others

Strategic mindset is an asset

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop strong relationships

Experienced in customer communications, consistently identifying and leveraging strategic opportunities through value based selling

Self-starter who can develop opportunities independently and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and support personnel within Voith Paper as well as externally

Education and Experience:

5+ years of Pulp or Paper Experience

Engineering or Technical Degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 30lbs

Ability to inspect Voith equipment in papermills as needed

Travel required 50% of the time (primarily nationally with some intermittent international travel possible)
