This is a program-based internship with placement opportunities across our locations. Final placement will be determined based on operational needs and geographic considerations.

What you’ll do:

Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures.

Perform a variety of tasks related to preparation of the deceased: removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing all within a respectful manner.

Build a strong relationship with the community through active involvement in area organizations and participation in charitable events.

Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service.

Experience you need to bring:

You have accountability for serving families in a professional, compassionate, patient, and timely manner; you have a strong dedication in serving others.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience with MS Office and social media (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) - yes, you’ll get social!

Strong organizational skills.

Educational Requirements:

Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state. In Minnesota you must have a Bachelors degree (or credit equivalent).

Successful completion of the National Board Examination.

Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination.

Valid Driver’s License.
