Reporting directly to the VP/CISO, this leader will oversee Alnylam's global Cyber Defense program while driving a multi-year security maturity roadmap. As a recognized expert in threat detection, incident response, and security operations, the Senior Director will be accountable for both day-to-day operational excellence and long-term strategy. They will lead a growing cyber defense team, partner with senior business and technology leaders, and ensure that security capabilities scale with Alnylam's global growth

This hybrid role is based in Cambridge, MA (2 days/week onsite) with regular engagement at both our Cambridge headquarters and Norton, MA manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

Lead Alnylam's global Cyber Defense program, including Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Insider Risk.
Drive a multi-year security modernization roadmap aligned with business growth and regulatory requirements.
Oversee day-to-day operational excellence in threat detection, response, and vulnerability management.
Develop and execute strategies for proactive threat hunting, purple teaming, and continuous improvement of detection capabilities.
Establish and maintain cyber crisis management and incident response frameworks, including executive tabletop exercises.
Partner with senior business and technology leaders to embed security into enterprise initiatives and protect critical assets.
Manage and mentor talent fostering a culture of accountability and resilience.
Collaborate with Identity, GRC, and IT teams to advance Zero Trust architecture and unified security controls.
Define and track key performance metrics (MTTD, MTTR, maturity scores) to measure and report program effectiveness.
Engage with external partners and vendors to enhance capabilities and validate security posture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Industry-recognized certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC).
Deep familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, PCI DSS (aligned with internal training expectations for senior leaders).
15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, incident response, or digital risk management.
10+ years of leadership experience, including managing global or distributed cyber defense or SOC teams.
Demonstrated success overseeing a modern cyber defense function that includes:

Security Operations Center (SOC)
Threat Intelligence
Incident Response & Forensics
Insider Threat programs

U.S. Pay Range

$229,500.00 - $310,500.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).

Summary

The Senior Manager of Product Marketing will own and scale OneStream's Go-To-Market strategy for the Financial Services industry, with a primary focus on Banking. This role serves as the industry GTM leader - responsible for defining vertical strategy, shaping differentiated positioning, and driving revenue impact across regional banks, super regionals, credit unions, and diversified financial institutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, this role will partner closely with Sales, Product, Competitive Intelligence, and Field Marketing to build repeatable banking plays that accelerate pipeline, improve win rates, and expand deal size. You will develop industry-specific narratives, solution use cases, and enablement frameworks that resonate with CFOs, FP&A leaders, risk teams, and IT decision-makers.

This is a high-impact role for a strategic marketer who thrives at the intersection of industry expertise and GTM execution - someone who wants to own a vertical, influence product direction, and help shape OneStream's leadership position in financial services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Own the Go-To-Market strategy for the Financial Services industry with a primary focus on Banking, including regional banks, super regionals, credit unions, and diversified financial institutions.
Serve as the internal banking subject-matter expert, translating industry trends, regulatory pressures, and operational challenges into differentiated positioning and field-ready messaging.
Design and execute vertical GTM plays that drive pipeline growth, improve win rates, and expand average deal size across the banking sector.
Partner closely with Sales leadership to embed banking plays into account strategies, deal pursuits, and territory planning.
Develop industry-specific messaging, value narratives, and use-case frameworks that resonate with CFOs, FP&A leaders, risk teams, and IT decision-makers.
Own sales enablement for the banking vertical, including the development of playbooks, talk tracks, competitive battlecards, and ROI and business case tools.
Lead cross-functional GTM planning for banking-specific launches, campaigns, field events, and executive programs.
Collaborate with Field Marketing to activate industry campaigns, ABM programs, webinars, and in-person events.
Drive buyer persona development and industry research to uncover new opportunities and inform product and GTM strategy.
Partner with Competitive Intelligence to develop banking-specific competitive positioning and win strategies.
Influence product roadmap priorities by providing market, customer, and competitive insights from the banking vertical.
Build a strong customer advocacy program within Financial Services, including case studies, videos, and reference accounts.
Represent OneStream as a banking thought leader at industry conferences, analyst briefings, and customer events.
Track and report success metrics, including pipeline influence, win rates, ACV growth, and campaign performance.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
5+ years experience in Financial Services, with Banking exposure (regional banks, superregionals, credit unions).
Experience across the full GTM lifecycle (launches, messaging, enablement)
Experience enabling enterprise sales motions.
Ownership of verticallevel GTM strategy, not just product messaging.
Proven experience partnering directly with Sales leadership on pipeline and deal strategy.

Preferred Education and Experience

Relevant industry experience in corporate performance management (CPM), Product Marketing, Sales, Pre-Sales or Consulting with a solid understanding of finance processes and the target personas.
Experience in the full lifecycle of product launches to market, including interacting with product development, planning, defining messaging & content, campaign management, PR and influencing analysts.
Excellent communication skills, including writing, content development and presentation.
Strong understanding and track record of enabling the entire sales cycle: sales enablement, selling to customers/partners, and conversations with business executives and technical decision-makers.
Experience in high-growth B2B Cloud businesses.
Experience managing external resources and collaborating with other functions in the company.
Financial Services experience is a plus.
