RESIDENCE HALL DIRECTOR
Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Residence Hall Director position. Eastern is Connecticut’s Public Liberal Arts University, located in Willimantic, Connecticut, 1.5 hours from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City. The position offers substantial health and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Housing and Residential Life or their designee, the Residence Hall Director is responsible for providing a supportive living and learning environment for students while working cooperatively in the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of student staff members. The candidate must demonstrate success working with college students with a progressive and educational focus. The position is a 10‑month live‑in role with a starting salary in the mid‑40s.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant Residential Life or Student Affairs experience.
Ability to relate effectively to resident college students and staff.
Master’s degree preferred; qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.

Compensation and Employee Benefits The Residence Hall Director is compensated at the Administrator 2 salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF).
