This is a remote position. Regional Sales Manager – Midwest (IL, MI, OH, IN, WI, MN, IA)
Remote from home office + travel (2-3 weeks per month) $85K - $100K Base, OTE ($170K - $200K On Target Earning) Company Vehicle / Truck + Trailer, Tools, Travel & Expense Coverage Included **Must Live Within Assigned Territory The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for owning full-cycle sales across a multi-state Midwest territory. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and supporting dealer partners while executing strategic territory plans. The position blends consultative, technical selling with hands-on capital equipment demonstrations. Travel averages 2–3 weeks per month. Requirements: 4+ years of B2B Construction Equipment, Lifting Equipment, Material Handling equipment, or Heavy Equipment sales experience Experience selling into construction, equipment rental, arborists, or access equipment markets Proven success managing large, multi-state sales territories Hands-on, technical selling capability with comfort operating aerial lift equipment Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills Consistent, disciplined use of CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to safely tow and maneuver a truck and trailer Nice-to-Haves: Experience with aerial lifts, hydraulic machinery, or specialty access equipment Background in tree care, rental, or heavy equipment environments MEWP certification (IPAF) or willingness to obtain Class A or Class B CDL Responsibilities: Own and manage the complete sales cycle within the South Central / West territory, from prospecting through close Build and execute quarterly territory plans aligned to pipeline, demos, orders, and revenue targets Prospect and qualify new opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, events, and inbound leads Manage and grow existing customer and dealer relationships Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored proposals; negotiate within established guidelines Safely tow, transport, and operate aerial lifts for on-site demonstrations, trainings, and customer events Deliver equipment and coordinate customer onboarding and MEWP training sessions Recruit, onboard, and support dealer and distributor partners; conduct joint pipeline reviews and co-marketing initiatives Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting in CRM Gather and communicate voice-of-customer insights and competitive intelligence to internal teams Collaborate with service, marketing, and operations to ensure customer success Represent at trade shows, industry events, and internal training sessions, including limited out-of-territory travel Uphold company standards for safety, compliance, and brand representation
