
Electronics Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary
Procure and manage materials and services from suppliers to meet the flow down requirements of our customers while maintaining KimCo’s quality policy. Manage the supply chain to achieve optimum cost, quality and delivery.
Essential Functions:
Plan material requirements per MRP systems; generate and place POs with suppliers that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms and conditions as negotiated with suppliers in order to support production schedules and customer needs.
Verify purchase orders through supplier order acknowledgements and confirmations.
Update PO delivery status and notify departments impacted by late deliveries.
Maintain accurate lead times for assigned items.
Monitor and react to the fluctuations of demands for materials based upon the scheduling and rescheduling of the customer order requirements.
Check open orders for on time delivery and expedite orders to fulfill customer requirements.
Manage supplier non conformities and initiate corrective actions when needed.
Initiate request for quotes to suppliers and obtain price comparisons and availability on new materials per flow down requirements from customers.
Evaluate supplier performance; on-time delivery and quality. Provide feedback to suppliers and Management.
Qualify and approve new suppliers as necessary.
Works closely with all internal departments with a service first attitude.
Adhere to KimCo’s ISO Quality Management System.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient in computer data entry, Excel, and Word.
Knowledge of purchasing practices and MRP systems helpful.
Good verbal and written communication skills required for dealing with outside suppliers and internal personnel.
Strong negotiation skills.
Electronics component knowledge.
