Valid California Driver License Must be insurable through company's carrier and maintain throughout employment Must be able to obtain a California Gaming License and maintain throughout employment Bachelor's Degree (BA) plus five years related experience in surveillance, regulatory, or law enforcement. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft Office XP, Internet software, Project Management software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Advises on gaming procedures, policies, rules and adoption of same. Plans surveillance operations and investigations on gaming activities or gaming violations. Advises on criminal activity or person involved in same. Assist with policy and/or regulations to insure integrity in all aspects of gaming. Authorizes and oversees overt and covert investigations involving theft, crime, suspected violations and violations of gaming regulations, Tribal/State Compact and internal controls. Ensures that all sensitive areas of the casino operations are effectively monitored. Monitors non-gaming departments and personnel activities and transactions for compliance. Administers the purchase, installment and maintenance of surveillance equipment. Coordinates with Gaming Commission Management, casino management and security as necessary to ensure the Tribal assets are protected. Coordinates with outside law enforcement and regulatory agencies in criminal and/or civil investigations. Must be proficient in the operation, maintenance and repair of all surveillance equipment. Must have good technical knowledge of the operation of slot machines, knowledge of table games and other games of chance offered in the facility. Able to extract, evaluate, analyze and interpret data from various operations databases. Familiar with rules of evidence, chain of custody, criminal, civil procedure and ensure that evidence is free from contamination. Directs daily operations of Surveillance personnel and reports to the Gaming Commissioners. Assist the Administrator in the preparation of budgets for Surveillance Department. Ensures that Surveillance department personnel adequately prepare for testimony before the Santa Rosa Rancheria Gaming Commission, Independent Gaming Review Board and court proceedings when assigned Reviews Surveillance Department personnel investigative reports and ensure their accuracy and thoroughness. Follows up on all violations of Tribal Gaming Regulations, Tribal Ordinance, Tribal/State Compact, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS). Prepares summary reports to the Commissioners on activities of Surveillance Department. Develops, plans, implements and maintains training programs and provides guidelines, counseling, training and direction to Surveillance Department. Ensures Surveillance department rules, policies and procedures are updated regularly and followed by Surveillance Department and take appropriate corrective measures to ensure compliance. Drive company or personal vehicles to conduct business on behalf of the Surveillance Department.
