Portland , is looking for a full-time Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms. You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines. We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

Use editing tools to create content for newscasts and digital platforms.

Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.

Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree preferred

Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop

Interest in broadcast and digital news content

Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure

Excellent communication skills

Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules

Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends
