Photographer/Graphic Designer (NGA-2026-24629) Bowhead seeks a Photographer/Graphic Designer to join our team in St. Louis, MO. The Photographer/Graphic Designer will be responsible for planning and organizing overall technical photographic coverage for a variety of events and developments. They will also implement NGA objectives within the capabilities and limitations of cameras and equipment, improvise photographic and video methods and techniques or select and alter secondary features (photographic features such as scenes, backgrounds, colors, lighting). The Photographer/Graphic Designer must be capable of using their imagination and creative abilities to provide graphic design services, create and deliver original products (designs) and may assist with staging actions, suggesting behavior of the principals, and rehearsing activities before photographs are taken. Responsibilities Provide high quality, professional digital photography using a Nikon Digital camera system and Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud software on a Windows platform. On-scene photography may involve accident investigations, building maintenance, events, award ceremonies, group photos, and photo-journalism. Provide limited video coverage and capture with editing according to customer requests. Write proper captions for all photographs. Load all photos into the server with proper metadata tags and captions, and remove all metadata from photographs before images are approved for public release. Design products for printing on digital presses and large format printers. Enter work order details into a web-based tracking system. Provide design and layout support, text processing, page markup, graphic scanning, large and small format printing, sign marking, engraving, mounting & laminating, and any other creative design support for cover designs, logos, coins, etc. Direct and review video production with the Video Lead for composition and technical accuracy and ensure it meets the requirements. Have the graphical products reviewed by the Graphic Design Lead to ensure there are no grammatical, typographical or compositional errors. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum; additional education is preferred. Possess at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in photography, 2 years in video production, and 1 year in graphic design. Experience creating/designing digital signage, web graphics, engravings (on brass, glass, plastic, and wood), handouts including fact sheets, flyers, newsletters, and similar materials, as well as staging historical displays and exhibits. Experience with publications and PowerPoint visualizations. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must hold an active security clearance at the Top Secret level. Possessing an active TS/SCI is preferred. US Citizenship is required for a Secret clearance at this location. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
