WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Graphic Designer at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by creating visually stunning and immersive signage throughout our park. Your work will be seen and admired by thousands of visitors, adding a touch of awe to their visit.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop signage concepts that align with the park's theme and branding.
• Design, produce, and maintain a wide range of signs, including wayfinding, attraction, and decorative signage.
• Utilize your artistic talents to craft unique and captivating graphics that enhance the park's enchanting atmosphere.
• Create in-park signage digitally, and be able to re-create signage and designs to better fit in with park theming.
• Create an archive of existing signage and assets for streamlined maintenance and replacement.
• Collaborate with the corporate design team for compliance and acceptance of signage related to DC Comics and Warner Brothers IP.
• Create and edit Ride Safety Signage in compliance with corporate safety and design Standards.
• Ensure all signage meets quality standards and is safe for public display.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and techniques to continuously improve the quality and impact of our signage.
• Perform frequent park signage audits, and maintain a priority list of signs needing replacement.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely installation and maintenance of signage
Qualifications
• Graphic Design education preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your signage design skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe and/ or Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Familiar with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in either or both PC/Mac.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques used in signage production.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
• Reports to the Operations Division Leadership
