Role Description
This is a freelance , project‑based role. Candidates must be SF Bay Area based and available for in‑person shoots.
We are seeking a producer with significant on‑set experience. This is not a coordination‑only role.
The ideal candidate has personally led shoot days, directed executive interviews, shaped conversations into strong, usable soundbites, and guided crews toward clear creative objectives. You are comfortable working directly with senior leadership and marketing stakeholders, and you understand how to balance production efficiency with storytelling quality.
You think editorially while producing. You anticipate what the final cut needs. You know how to adjust performance, pacing, and tone in real time to ensure the material captures what the story requires.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a hybrid Producer / Director on select shoots
Lead full shoot days across executive interviews, brand films, testimonials, product shoots, and events
Travel for select out‑of‑state productions as needed
Direct C‑suite and senior leadership talent to capture confident, story‑driven soundbites
Guide interviews in real time to shape narrative structure and editorial clarity
Align crew around both creative and logistical objectives
Own pre‑production planning including schedules, call sheets, shot lists, and client prep
Serve as the primary on‑set client contact
Problem‑solve decisively under real‑world production constraints
Collaborate closely with editors in post to ensure story and tone are executed properly
Required
4+ years producing corporate video content
Significant on‑set leadership experience
Comfortable directing executive‑level talent
Ability to think in story beats and editorial outcomes
Bay Area based and available for in‑person shoots
Bonus Points
Editing experience or strong post‑production fluency
Experience building or contributing to production budgets
Experience scaling crews for larger multi‑day or multi‑camera productions
