What We’re Looking For
Just Ingredients is hiring a UI/UX Designer to own the user experience and interface design of our Shopify-based ecommerce site. This role is responsible for designing clean, conversion-friendly, and brand-aligned user experiences that make it easy for customers to shop, learn, and come back.
You’ll work closely with our Web Developer, Category Marketing Managers, and Paid Media, and Creative team to wireframe, design, test, and optimize everything from landing pages to navigation to PDPs and bundles. You’ll also help shape how customers experience new product launches, seasonal promos, and evergreen education moments.
We’re looking for a person who understands ecommerce best practices, CRO, has strong design instincts, and can move fast without sacrificing detail.
What You’ll Do
Design and improve UX/UI for all areas of our Shopify website with conversion and customer experience in mind—homepage, PDPs, collections, navigation, landing pages, and more
Collaborate with marketing, content, and dev teams to bring campaigns and new features to life
Translate business goals and creative direction into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
Ensure designs are mobile-first, accessible, and conversion-optimized
Maintain consistency with brand style guides while continuously improving UI patterns
Work with our developer to hand off designs, guide implementation, and QA releases
Use performance data (heatmaps, conversion rates, A/B tests) to inform UX decisions
Help improve site speed, structure, and usability over time
Define user flows and interaction patterns across the site
Identify customer friction points through UX analysis and propose solutions
Balance user needs with business goals in all design decisions
Who You Are
3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on e-commerce
Strong portfolio of mobile and desktop DTC web design work
Proficiency in Figma (preferred) or similar tools
Solid understanding of Shopify and ecommerce UX best practices
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and give/receive feedback quickly
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bonus: familiarity with Klaviyo, post-purchase UX, subscriptions, or CRO
