Installers: Epoxy Flooring and Polished Concrete (Manufacturing)
Desco Floor Systems (DESCO, or the Company) is a fast paced commercial and industrial-focused seamless flooring installation contractor with more than 30 years in the business. DESCO is seeking Installers (Level I-III, Assistant Leads and Leads) to deliver onsite installation of resinous flooring across commercial and industrial facilities. As DESCO continues to grow, this role will be instrumental in ensuring efficiency and accountability as DESCO seeks build the highest quality commercial install group in the United States as part of the Sunflower Industrial team.
Primary Responsibilities for Installers (Level I-III)
Work Performance / Quality: Preparation and installation of resinous flooring projects of 1,000–100,000+ square feet
Perform to company and customer quality standards; some of the highest in the industry
Professional Conduct: Show up on time to the proper location, prepared for work
Take direction from leadership and follow company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Communicate clearly and timely with Lead Installer
Demonstrate teamwork
Administrative: Accurately report time and attendance
Maintain and submit paperwork and receipts timely
Safety: Promote a safe workplace and comply with all safety requirements
Participate in safety meetings and report any unsafe conditions
Primary Responsibilities for Assistant Leads and Leads
Work Performance / Quality: Manage preparation and installation of resinous flooring projects of 1,000–100,000+ square feet
Manage to company and customer quality standards; some of the highest in the industry
Financial responsibility: Primarily responsible for delivering quality work on time, in full, on budget
Work with sales and bid staff to assist with and understand scope as it relates to labor and raw material requirements
Manage labor and raw material inputs
Communicate and help manage required change orders, contingencies, and allowances
Manage and accurately account for inventory and job completion percentages
Scheduling: Once assigned, maintain the project schedule and communicate required changes and overtime as necessary
Identify the elements of project design and construction that could impact the schedule
Monitor the progress of the construction activities against the Project Schedule and communicate inventory consumption and job completion percentages
Perform scheduled progress updates with the client regularly
Safety: Promote a safe workplace and present positive leadership in regard to Project Safety
Participate in safety meetings and provide record keeping for the project
Investigate and document any safety incidents or accidents on a project
Compensation Salary: Installers Level I - III are paid between $17 and $30 per hour (based on experience/skills/position). Assistant Leads are paid up to $35 per hour (based on experience/skills/position). Leads are paid up to $45 per hour (based on experience/skills/position). Leads are guaranteed a minimum of 2,080 hours per year. All Installers are eligible for quarterly and annual bonus opportunities.
