Animator / Graphic Designer Intern Job at Web-Tronix in Chicago

Are you a creative mind with a passion for animation and visual storytelling? Web-Tronix is looking for an Animator / Graphic Designer Intern to join our fast-paced, collaborative design team! This is a perfect opportunity for recent graduates or those with up to 1 year of experience looking to build a career in motion graphics and multimedia design. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and animate 2D and 3D content for videos, websites, and social media Assist in storyboarding, layout, and animation planning Support senior designers with character design, environments, and motion graphics Create visuals for digital and print media – social posts, ads, brochures, banners, etc. Develop and refine brand assets, icons, infographics, and templates Prepare final artwork for web, video, and print production Ensure visual consistency across all materials in line with brand guidelines Collaborate closely with marketing, content, and development teams PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Computer Arts, Media Design, or related field 0–6 months of experience (internships, freelance, or academic projects accepted) A portfolio or showreel demonstrating both 2D and 3D animation/design work Passionate, collaborative, and eager to grow in a creative environment PREFERRED SKILLS Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop Basic knowledge of 3D tools like Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D Strong sense of visual storytelling, composition, and color Experience with Premiere Pro, Figma, or Canva (nice to have) Basic video editing and storyboarding abilities Understanding of social media content trends Skills in illustration or concept art are a plus Web-Tronix is an equal opportunity employer.
