The VP of Public Relations will be a senior leader responsible for guiding a team of copywriters and PR specialists across multiple practice areas. Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Media Relations team, overseeing Consumer & Trade PR, Crisis Communications, and Media Training.
Direct, train, and guide the team responsible for writing and distributing 1,500+ press releases, alerts, and pitches annually.
Secure high-quality media placements on national/local TV, print, radio, podcasts, and trade publications.
Provide strategic direction and counsel to the PR team and client support teams.
Craft compelling brand narratives that translate into measurable media coverage.
Capitalize on trending news stories by pitching clients as trusted media sources.
Coordinate interviews, appearances, and talking points for clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, and producers nationwide.
Provide counsel on managing and mitigating PR crises, including proactive plans and reputation repair.
Partner with senior client executives and stakeholders to deliver measurable results.
Mentor junior team members on PR strategy and client interaction.
Requirements
7–10 years of public relations experience (agency or client-side) with direct experience working with or supporting the restaurant and/or hospitality industry
Exceptional writing skills, with ability to produce top-tier news releases, pitches, articles, white papers, and executive communication.
Strong verbal and presentation skills to support client meetings and new business pitches.
Proven experience in crisis communications.
Energetic, detail-oriented, organized, and a collaborative team player.
$115,511.00 - $173,266.00 per year
