Welcome Center & Farm Store Manager Employee Status :Seasonal, Full Time & Part Time hours Location : On-site (1611 Harbor Rd, Shelburne, VT 05482) Start & End Date:

May 1- October 31, 2026 Salary Range:

$16.50/hour Schedule : Store is open 7 days a week, 9:30am - 5:30pm and your schedule depends on availability We require all seasonal employees to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Weekends and holidays are required to be considered for the role. What You’ll Do

Welcome visitors into our busy Farm Store, answer questions, and guide them to the appropriate products and services. Answer phone calls and in-person inquiries by representing the guest services for all farm services, programs, activities and products offered at Shelburne Farms. Operate Point of Sales (POS) system to process each customer’s transaction. Ensure shelves are continuously stocked and look to leadership for merchandising guidance. Unpack, price, and stock newly arrived products. Support our continuous effort to build and sustain a welcoming and diverse working and learning environment for all visitors, guests, and staff. All Farm Store staff are required to work some, if not most, weekends and holidays throughout the busy season (May - October), and a minimum of 10 hours/week. Mission-Aligned:

Tech :

Comfort able working with computers, including a Point of Sale system (we use Square). Retail : No formal retail experience is required; some related retail skills will be helpful as you begin learning this role. Other engagement-focused experience is equally as valuable. Work Environment & Physical Demands

Carrying and moving inventory up and down stairs. Unloading and processing deliveries. Carrying items weighing approx. 40 lbs. Commitment to contribute to and maintain a tidy shared workspace. Facility maintenance functions, including cleaning floors and restrooms. Other duties related to providing retail and guest services indoors and outdoors.
