Position Summary
As a Strategy & Operations intern, you will help drive the strategy and execution that delivers success across the Foundation. Your proven ability to break down problems and build structure and process will serve you well as you work with team leadership to deliver regular business reviews, improvements to our operations, and growth strategies around revenue areas. You will work multi-functionally to lead complex, business initiatives that result in improved business processes, better customer experiences, and increased customer acquisition.
This is an 8-week paid Internship opportunity, running from June 8 - July 30, 2026 with 29 hours/week anticipated.
This is a hybrid internship with 2 days/week in the Foundation's New York City office and the remaining work remote.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Analyze opportunities to drive the Foundation’s mission forward
Use data-driven business models to optimize operations and efficiency
Collaborate cross-departmentally to understand trends in the Foundation’s mission and develop insights that translate into impactful recommendations for growth
Identify and prioritize growth opportunities and develop programs to deliver against these opportunities (test, implement)
Preempt and problem-solve while leading and integrating multi-functional efforts
Contribute to market analysis and understand how it relates to overall strategy
Build relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Tackle complex problems and drive quantitative rigor in decision-making
Orchestrate work streams and support the development of executive-level summaries and analysis of industry news and events
Other duties as required
Qualifications
Candidate may be an undergraduate student with an interest in nonprofit management, MBA or MPA candidate.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both peers and leaders
Attention to detail and strong research, analytical, problem-solving skills
Fast learner, highly entrepreneurial with a good sense of judgment and original thinking
Good business judgment and an executive presence
Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Team player with curiosity and creativity
