Overview
The Chanute Tribune, Chanute, Kansas, has an immediate opening for an editor. The paper is published twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Schedule is flexible, based on news coverage and deadlines, with day shifts and some evening and occasional weekend coverage. Job Type: Full-time. Expected hours: 40 hours per week. Cover various beats and provide local news coverage for Chanute and the surrounding communities. Write six stories per week in AP style. Edit copy and design some pages. Attend local events and meetings. Use a word processor and Adobe Creative Suite tools. Report to the Executive Editor; strong writing and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Qualifications
One year of journalism required. Valid driver\'s license; clean driving record. Photography and Adobe program skills can be taught. Application
