The design freelancers we use are comfortable using Photoshop CC, Illustrator and AfterFX with Cinema 4D, Houdini or Maya being an added bonus, but not always essential. The work is predominantly executing animations (designed and art directed by senior members of the creative team), so strong 2D and/or 3D animation skills are essential. In addition, being able to draw/storyboard, develop character designs or an interest in typography are all useful characteristics that may be required depending on the needs of the job. Responsibilities Create highly engaging and complex motion graphics animations for a diverse array of projects Conceptualise and produce design projects with internal Art Directors and Creative Directors Create style frames, storyboards, motion tests, and assemble treatments for pitch presentations Work independently on design projects, or as part of a larger team on the design‑focused areas of some projects Able to manage time effectively and give accurate assessments of the workload and the time required to complete tasks Pay Range California and New York Employees Pay Range: Juniors ( Mids (4 – 6 years experience): $400 – $550 per day Seniors (6+ years of experience): $600 – $900 per day The posted range describes the minimum to maximum range for this job description in the state of New York and California. The range is posted in accordance with the New York Pay Transparency Bill and the California Pay Transparency Law. The range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of New York or California.
