JR104251**Internal Employees: Please ensure that you are logged into Workday and applying through the Jobs Hub before proceeding.**Payer Enrollment Specialist**Job Description**Payer Enrollment Specialists are responsible for initiating and assisting customers through the enrollment process for all applicable payer sources (including Medicaid, Qualifying Health Plans, Social Security Disability Insurance, Moms and Babies Program (MPE) etc.). Works with inpatients, outpatients, and non-patients and follows through until an eligibility determination has been made.Department: Patient ServicesHours: Full time 40 hours/week requiredShift: FirstRequired: High School Diploma; Driver's LicensePreferred: Certified Application Counselor (CAC)Pay: Based on experience, starting at $17.79/hour**Responsibilities**Any other duties or
responsibilities as assigned by
management., Certificate for CAC - Certified Application Counselor required if/when the hospitals is CDO certified., Conduct active follow through
on completed applications to
help ensure deadlines are met., Conduct home visits as
needed., Educate and assist clients in
obtaining required
documentation for the application process., Enroll qualified individuals into applicable payer programs (local/state/federal) including Medicaid, All Kids, Health Insurance Plans, Social Security Disability Insurance, etc., Interviews potential clients
and verify all client
information while maintaining
a compassionate, judgement-free environment., Maintains expertise in
eligibility, enrollment, and
program specifications of the
various government payer
programs available to
patients., Prepare and maintain reports
(results, tracking, etc) and
keep accurate records of case load., Serves as a resource and
responds to questions
regarding government
payers/insurance, Submit applications to the
Department of Health and
Human Services and/or other
designated intake centers., Work closely with Case
Managers and Medicaid Billers
to ensure accurate and timely
