Job Description Responsibilities include assisting in the operations of game day hospitality, special events, letterwinner and donor relations, and membership engagement. The Student Assistant's role includes, but is not limited to, game day support, letterwinner communication and operations support, special event support, and other engagement processes.

Essential Functions

Assists with membership engagement and support services for Sooner Club and Varsity O members, which includes email correspondence, telephone communications, and troubleshooting for over 16,000 Sooner Club members and all former letterwinners.

Assists with letterwinner engagement and support services for Varsity O, which includes email correspondence, telephone communications, and being a resource to our letterwinners regarding tickets, events, donations, and various processes within Varsity O.

Assisting in the creation and distribution of digital content on the website, email initiatives, and all Varsity O social media platforms.

Track & quantify letterwinner engagement – this includes special stories including letterwinners, percent of letterwinners engaging with email/social media, and number of letterwinners attending events.

Assist in leading the Varsity O tailgate initiative – which includes coordinating operations and logistics for letterwinner tailgate, including those relating to security, catering, and custodial services.

Support in the planning and execution of sport reunions, championship celebrations, Spring Weekend, and other special events.

Consistently provide recommendations and best practices for alumni engagement initiatives based on research of peer institutions.

Identify and provide recommendations to better engage our current student‑athletes and coaching staffs.

Assists in coordination of programming for consistent and effective communication with former student‑athletes.

Assists with maintaining Varsity O database of letterwinners.

Assists in the coordination and execution of all Varsity O game day activities and special events.

Support Sooner Club membership initiatives, special events, donor relations, engagement initiatives and fundraising efforts.

Always maintain confidentiality of donor information.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Required Education:

Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Must attach Spring 2026 OU class schedule.
