Content Specialist

Impact Networking, Chicago, IL, United States

Overview The Content Strategist is a core member of the Digital Experience (DX) team within Impact’s Managed Marketing division. This role owns content strategy, SEO, and content production across all formats — blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, landing pages, website copy, and more — driving measurable organic growth and supporting full‑funnel campaign performance for mid‑market B2B clients.

Every aspect of this role is AI‑augmented. You will work inside Impact’s agentic‑AI operating system, where AI agents support research, drafting, data assembly, audits, and performance analysis. Your job is to direct these agents, apply strategic judgment to their output, and continuously refine the AI‑augmented workflows that make your work faster and better. We are actively building new AI capabilities into every part of this role — from assessment diagnostics to ongoing content strategy and production — and the right person will help shape what that looks like.

This means we’re looking for someone who is genuinely excited about working with AI, not just comfortable with it. You should see AI as a force multiplier for your expertise and want to be part of defining how human + AI collaboration works in content strategy.

Responsibilities

Own content strategy and production

across all formats and funnel stages, using AI‑augmented workflows to accelerate research, drafting, optimization, and competitive analysis while applying your strategic judgment to ensure quality and relevance.

Lead SEO strategy

including keyword research, search intent analysis, technical SEO assessment, competitive content positioning (share of voice, ranking gaps), and content gap identification — leveraging AI tools to scale analysis and surface insights faster.

Contribute content‑specific expertise

during client assessments, including performance audits across assigned funnel stages, content production roadmaps, tactical proposals, and performance forecasts that feed integrated campaign planning.

Build and maintain website content architecture

— site maps, page hierarchy, URL structures, and content inventories — grounded in SEO data and aligned with UX and development teams.

Deliver client reporting and performance analysis

including organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, content engagement metrics, and ROI narratives that connect content activity to business outcomes.

Manage content production

across multiple concurrent client engagements, coordinating sprint schedules, deliverable timelines, and quality standards.

Collaborate across the DX team

(Paid Media, UX/UI, Full‑stack Development, Email) and with Marketing Strategists to ensure content operates as part of one integrated system, not a silo.

Continuously improve AI‑augmented processes

— refining prompts, workflows, and feedback loops to increase output quality, reduce revision cycles, and help define how AI supports content strategy as new capabilities are built.

Qualifications & Experience

2+ years of experience in content strategy

or SEO‑focused content creation. (B2B experience preferred; agency/consultancy a plus).

Strong command of SEO fundamentals : keyword research, search intent, technical SEO, and full‑funnel content strategy.

Proficiency with core tools

including Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms (HubSpot or similar).

Excellent writing and editing skills

with the ability to adapt for different B2B industries (manufacturing, financial services, professional services, construction).

Ability to manage multiple concurrent clients

and projects without sacrificing quality or deadlines.

Genuine enthusiasm for working with AI

— you want to direct AI agents, refine their output, and help build workflows that don’t exist yet. Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to experiment are essential.

Collaborative, low‑ego communicator

able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.
