BPS STRIVE Madison
City of Boston, Boston, MA, United States
Overview
The STRIVE program provides vocational opportunities for Boston Public School students, ages 18-22, who receive special education services. This is a school‑based/community‑based vocational training program that leads to internships, externships, supported employment, and other postgraduate opportunities in various fields. It offers authentic work experiences where students gain real‑life skills, including both soft skills and hard skills development, along with coaching. Our program sets high expectations for all learners, encouraging students to engage in work skills that may not otherwise be available to them. We also operate sites at various high schools during the school year.
