Opportunity: Citadel Roofing & Solar is looking for a high-energy, results-focused, execution-oriented Director / Manager of Residential Solar Sales to join our growing team. The Director / Manager of Residential Solar Sales is a leadership role that will be responsible for driving and managing residential retrofit solar and reroof sales for the company. Oversight will include an inside sales team as well as numerous outside sales partners. He or she will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and delivering required sales targets and working cross functionally with other departments. He or she will also be responsible for vetting, onboarding,and actively managing outside sales partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales management and solar industry experience, have stellar communication skills, and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently. This full-time position is located in either Sacramento or Vacaville, CA and reports to the EVP, Solar.

Responsibilities:

Drive residential solar, battery, and re-roofing sales throughout California.

Lead an effective and efficient sales organization.

Mentor and coach a team to exceed sales goals

Manage the administrative process of the sales team, to ensure documentation is obtained and submitted promptly to the operations team.

Master and manage sales tools, financing partnership, and any other key sales support relationships.

Recognize outstanding performers and mentor those who are not delivering required targets.

Work cross-functionally as required with other departments and keep all parties apprised of sales activities, concerns and results.

Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.

Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions; performance manage sales team and sales partners.

Handle customer escalations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years sales management experience

Experience selling solar and energy storage utilizing PPAs, leases, and solar loans

Roofing knowledge and/or sales experience

Effective demonstration of sales process, able to identify buying criteria, eliminate objections, and develop solutions to close a sale

Proven ability to effectively sell value

Keeps a clean appearance

Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills

Experience in a fast-paced, customer facing environment

Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively multi-task daily and meet deadlines

Assertive, confident and clear communicator – via e-mail, phone and face-to-face

Must have valid state driver’s license

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
