2026-2027 Internship Program
Looking to gain hands‑on library experience before you graduate?
Eligibility:
Current Dominican University SOIS student
Timeframe:
September 2026 through April 2027
Schedule:
10-15 hours/week (flexible schedule TBD with library mentor)
Compensation:
$19.88/hour
Tuition credit/waivers for Fall Practicum (LIS 799) and Spring Independent Study (LIS 801)
Structure:
Several students will experience the program as a cohort.
Each student will be paired with a mentor from the library.
Regular reflection meetings will be held with mentors and faculty advisors.
Focus Areas:
Public Services (Two positions available)
– Programming, advisory, experiential learning, and information services, with options to focus on youth, teens, or adults.
Community Engagement (One position available)
– Outreach and partnerships with options to focus on youth or adults.
