
Pipe Band Director Temporary Pool

The Department of Visual & Performing Arts in the College of Education, Arts, and Humanities at Pennsylvania Western University is seeking qualified applicants to direct the Pipe Band on the Edinboro Campus during the 2024-2025 academic year, contingent on enrollment. Course will be taught face to face on campus.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary
Bachelor’s Degree required. Proven ability to play and perform the bagpipes required. Evidence of successful teaching experience at the high school or university level preferred or 3 years in leadership capacity (e.g., Pipe Major, Pipe Sergeant, Music Committee, or similar capacity) of an EUSPBA Grade 4 band or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree preferred. At least three years teaching bagpipe performance preferred.
