Overview The TDA Media Planner is responsible for supporting the Associate Media Director and Senior Media Planner in the development, execution, and management of media plans for the Portland Region Toyota Dealer Associations. This role plays an active part in planning and coordinating integrated media campaigns across multiple channels, including Broadcast, Digital, Search, Social, Radio, Out-of-Home, and Sponsorship/Event Marketing.
The ideal candidate is an energetic and collaborative team player with at least 2 years of experience in broadcast and/or digital media planning. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the evolving media landscape are essential. Familiarity with industry media tools and platforms, along with strong organizational and analytical abilities, will help ensure success in this role.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update market-specific annual media plans and provide recommendations throughout the year, including budget reallocation and increased investment opportunities.
Partner closely with the Account team and sister-agency media buyers to respond to client requests and support market-level reporting.
Develop presentation materials and assist in preparing for client meetings.
Analyze digital campaign performance and collaborate with internal teams to develop insights and optimization recommendations.
Support the Associate Media Director on special projects such as competitive spending analyses and evaluation of new media opportunities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including Account, Ad Operations, Analytics, Finance, Traffic, Broadcast/Digital Buyers, and media vendors to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Attend presentations from media partners and help identify customized opportunities that align with client objectives.
Continue developing presentation and client-facing skills as opportunities arise.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in media planning or related field
Strong interest in and passion for the media industry, including Digital, Broadcast, Emerging Media, and Sales Promotion.
Understanding of media planning principles and digital/media terminology, with a willingness to learn and adapt as new media channels emerge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
Experience with media planning tools is a plus but not required.
Experience in retail advertising and/or the automotive category is preferred but not required. Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings.

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $57,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
