Overview
Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of The Bee Foundation. This role is responsible for strengthening fundraising and development, stewarding the TBF community, driving organizational strategy, managing operations, overseeing mission-driven programs, and elevating the conversation around brain aneurysm prevention and early detection. TBF currently raises $800,000 and is seeking to double that in three to five years’ time.
Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising and development efforts to grow annual revenue from $800,000 toward the target of doubling that amount in 3-5 years.
- Steward the TBF community and engage donors, medical partners, survivors and families.
- Set and drive organizational strategy, oversee operations and mission-driven programs.
- Elevate the conversation around brain aneurysm prevention and early detection.
- Partner with the Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board and other stakeholders to advance the foundation’s mission.
Qualifications
- Professional expertise in the nonprofit sector with a track record of leadership and impact.
- Authentic care for the mission; either prior experience in health-related fields or a strong, genuine desire to learn about brain aneurysm landscape.
- Ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders including donors, medical partners, survivors and families.
- Strategic thinker with experience managing operations and guiding organizational growth in a fast-moving nonprofit setting.
