Position Summary

Donna Klein Jewish Academy (DKJA) seeks a creative and forward-thinking Digital Strategy & Content Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of the school’s digital presence.  This role advances brand visibility, enrollment, community engagement, and philanthropic support through high-impact storytelling, strategic content development, and data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Leadership

      Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy aligned with enrollment, retention, community engagement, and philanthropic goals

      Understand how prospective families research schools and shape content to strengthen DKJA’s market position

      Stay current on digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to maintain a competitive position in the Jewish and independent school landscape

      Ensure visual and narrative brand consistency across all digital channels

High-Impact Multimedia Production

      Produce compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for social media, website, admissions and development campaigns, newsletters, and school communications

      Capture high-quality photography and short-and long form, video highlighting, academics, athletics, fine arts, Jewish life, special events and programs, student experiences and alumni achievements

      Provide real-time storytelling, including livestream coverage of school events

      Develop, produce, and edit podcast episodes that highlight school life, thought leadership, and community stories for internal and external audiences.

      Maintain and curate a comprehensive digital asset library

Social Media Strategy and Audience Growth

      Lead strategy and growth of DKJA’s social media presence

      Develop editorial calendars that reflect school life, culture, and strategic priorities

      Create platform-native content designed to increase engagement, reach, and conversion

      Monitor performance and refine strategy based on analytics

Website & Digital Optimization

      Manage and enhance website content to strengthen storytelling, increase inquiry, and improve user experience

      Oversee search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility standards, and performance optimization

      Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to plan and execute web updates, landing pages, and microsites

Analytics & Performance Measurement

      Track and analyze digital performance across website, email and social channels using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media dashboards, Blackbaud)

      Use data to refine content strategy, improve user experience, and support enrollment, retention, development and community engagement goals

Qualifications

      Passion for translating the energy of school life and the richness of the Jewish educational experience into meaningful stories that inspire and engage

      Experience in multimedia production, digital marketing, or mission-driven storytelling

      Experience managing website content and social media platforms

      Demonstrated expertise in photography, short and long-form videography and cinematic editing

      Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop), CapCut, Canva, or comparable tools

      Experience with digital advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, Niche, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, search and display advertising platforms)

      Portfolio showcasing high-quality visual and multimedia storytelling across photography, video, social media, and web campaigns is highly encouraged

      Strong narrative writing, editing, interviewing and project management skills. Writing samples that demonstrate narrative storytelling are encouraged

      Highly organized, self-directed, and collaborative

      Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage
