Associate Partner Engagement Specialist

IBM, Austin, TX, United States

Introduction Are you passionate about using data and technology to transform how IBM's partners grow and succeed? The Worldwide Program Sales team is looking for a curious, analytical professional to help shape the sales programs and experiences that power IBM's partner ecosystem. You'll sit at the global strategic layer of the ecosystem sales organization, focused on building better programs, smarter feedback loops, and clearer insights that help partners and IBM sellers succeed together. Your work will directly influence how we design partner journeys, measure program effectiveness, and scale engagement across geographies. The ideal candidate is someone who gets energized by a broad scope of work. You might be building a dashboard in the morning, synthesizing partner feedback by midday, and helping prep a partner meeting by afternoon. If you're the kind of person who reaches for technology first when you see a manual process, and you care about making things simpler and more human, this role was designed for you.

Your Role And Responsibilities What you will do Program insights and analytics

Build and maintain program scorecards and partner funnel analytics that track progression from registration through proficiency and transactions

Develop automated reports and dashboards that give geography leaders and senior stakeholders a clear view of partner performance and program health

Perform data reconciliation across multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in how we measure and communicate results

Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in partner data and translate them into recommendations that inform program strategy

Partner research and feedback

Conduct user research across partners, distributors, and sellers to understand their needs, pain points, and priorities

Build and operate feedback loops that capture partner sentiment at key stages of the partner journey

Synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback into structured insights that shape program design and go-to-market strategies

Support partner planning, content development, and follow-up action tracking

Experience optimization

Identify friction points in the partner experience and recommend improvements grounded in data and user research

Support the integration and optimization of digital partner experiences across motions

Contribute to the development of AI-powered tools and workflows that simplify the partner journey and drive adoption

Help define and document business requirements that feed into platform and UX prioritization

Operational execution

Track program requirements, dependencies, and timelines to support cross-functional rollout execution

Coordinate with communications, marketing, and geography teams to support program launches and enhancement go-lives

Create and maintain program documentation, process guides, and reusable assets that help the team scale

Bring a mindset of continuous improvement and look for ways to make our work faster, clearer, and more impactful

Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

1–2 years of professional experience in business analytics, program operations, project management, consulting, or a related field

Experience with Cognos, Python, SQL, or data visualization tools

Exposure to partner or channel ecosystems, SaaS/subscription business models, or B2B program management

Experience conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, or journey mapping

Comfort building dashboards, automated reports, or lightweight tools that simplify how teams consume data

Strong visual communication skills with experience creating polished presentations and executive-ready materials

Experience working across functions or geographies in a matrixed organization

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

You can put together an engaging story both visually and verbally. You don't just report numbers, you turn complex data into clear, compelling presentations and narratives that drive action

You are genuinely curious. You ask "why" before "how" and you dig until you understand the real problem before jumping to solutions

You instinctively reach for technology to solve problems. If there's a manual process, you're already thinking about how to automate or improve it with the right tool

You thrive with a broad scope of work. You'd rather operate across analytics, experience design, and program operations than be boxed into a single function

You are a strong collaborator who builds trust quickly across teams, geographies, and levels of seniority

You have a bias toward action. You'd rather build a working prototype than wait for the perfect plan

You are comfortable with ambiguity and energized by working in a fast-evolving program environment where you can shape things as they grow

You bring a human-centric mindset to everything you do
