Position Overview

Ashley Furniture Industries is on the lookout for a talented Graphic Designer to help bring our Public Relations and corporate communications to life through impactful digital, print, and event materials. This position will allow you to engage in hands-on production design and ensure our brand's voice remains consistent across various platforms. By learning to translate PR strategies into compelling visual deliverables, you will play a crucial role in enhancing AFI's reputation and community presence.

Key Responsibilities

• PR Design Support & Execution
  Deliver on-brand design work for PR assets across digital, print, and event materials.
• Adapt existing templates and brand systems to produce consistent, high-quality deliverables.
• Transform content and photography into clear, engaging visual communications tailored for PR needs.
• Update media kits, press materials, internal communications, and community event designs as needed.
• Utilize creativity in layout, typography, and visual presentation to effectively convey PR objectives.

Brand Standards & Consistency

• Ensure AFI brand guidelines are implemented consistently across all PR materials.
• Organize and format files to ensure they are production-ready.
• Assist in quality checks to maintain visual accuracy and consistency across all channels.
• Help evolve and document design standards as PR communication needs progress.

Collaboration & Growth

• Work closely with the PR team and cross-functional stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Receive direction from the Sr. Graphic Designer and Design Director of PR while actively contributing ideas and solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback to enhance and refine your work.
• Stay updated on design trends, best practices in PR communications, and visual storytelling techniques.

AI & Tools Integration

• Utilize Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other essential tools to execute design work efficiently.
• Begin exploring AI-assisted design tools under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist the team with basic production tasks that could benefit from automation or AI capabilities.
