Job Description
Location
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Summary Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Overtime may be required to meet bid deadlines)
Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates for commercial flooring projects
Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements, risks, and opportunities
Develop complete bid packages including pricing, exclusions, alternates, and clarifications
Coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and complete proposals
Track bid submissions and follow up with general contractors as needed
Assist with project buyout and handoff to project management and operations teams
Support margin protection by identifying cost risks and constructability concerns during preconstruction
Maintain estimating files, documentation, and historical cost data for future reference
Participate in pre‑bid meetings and internal estimate reviews as required
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, accuracy, and turnaround time
Other duties as assigned

Requirements Qualifications & Requirements
Experience preparing estimates for commercial construction projects, preferably within flooring or interior finishes
Strong ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
Working knowledge of commercial construction documents, scopes of work, and bid processes
Ability to develop clear inclusions, exclusions, alternates, and clarifications
Proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and digital plan review software
Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
Effective communication skills for coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Required Education High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
Required Work Experience Commercial construction or subcontract estimating – 2+ years
Preferred Work Experience Estimating or preconstruction experience – 3 to 7+ years
