Job Summary

This position is for an Interior Designer working mostly in the Commercial field. Our team works in multiple vertical markets such as healthcare, government, education and all commercial type projects. Looking for someone that can work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external team members to help create well thought out solutions to meet our customer needs as it related to interior space and the overall aesthetics. The position requires one to have a creative mindset with space planning, materiality, budget and an overall vision to the integrity of space.Must be able to lead discussions with customers, contractors, manage their responsibilities with the sales leaders, often engages in business development opportunities, presentations, RFP interviews, and participates in or leads client engagement workshops.This job requires training and understanding of multiple design software in line with our company procedures. Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Associate degree or certificate from a two-year college will be considered with additional related design experience Prior experience with commercial furniture is a plus Knowledge/Skills/Ability

High level of professional maturity Detail oriented, well organized, and excellent communication skills Exceptional customer service skills with ability to provide well thought out solutions to client needs. Must be able to read and understand Construction floor plan documents, Architectural notes, and provide solutions to meet all safety qualifications as it relates to commercial furnishings Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Teams, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign CET Designer and Procore is a bonus, but not a requirement In depth knowledge of commercial furniture in general and systems furnishings. Understanding of textiles, and architectural materials to meet all standards within our State Understanding of LEED and sustainability Responsibilities

Lead discussions with customers and internal teams Lead discussions with contractors and subcontractors Work hand in hand with other team members Design live and in-person with customers Gather programming information Perform field measurements and inventory product Work with Main and Ancillary vendors to gather pricing and specifications Selecting furniture finishes Produce furniture floor plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specification, and installation drawings. Keep up with latest CET Designer training Keep up with latest trends in the workplace Keep up with product knowledge Estimate hours and manage project hours Serve as mentor to other designers Create professional proposals and deliverables using company branding
