Job Overview

The Personal Banker II provides customers with accurate information regarding the Bank’s products and services, handles customer inquiries, and resolves customer complaints. The role protects the Bank’s image and contributes positively to the achievement of the Bank’s overall goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and promote cordial relationships with customers, ensuring prompt attendance to their inquiries and solving their problems to grant maximum satisfaction. Inform and suggest new banking products to customers. Provide account information such as balance, account status, and check or payment clearing history. Ensure strict compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Protect customers’ confidential information and use it only for official purposes. Improve customers’ banking experience by ensuring prompt attendance and resolution of banking challenges. Conduct effective checking sales presentations that lead to appropriate account recommendations and customer business. Introduce customers to the Tell‑A‑Friend program and enthusiastically distribute coupons with each transaction. Help customers understand in‑person and digital banking options, allowing them to select the channel that best fits their preferences. Expand technology penetration of retail and business clients by proactively using First Community Bank’s convenience channels. Open new accounts and service existing accounts as outlined by operational procedures, ensuring required documentation is received and archived at account opening. Minimize deposit exceptions and address them quickly to prevent account closures. Make qualified referrals to banking partners such as Wealth, Bearing Insurance, Mortgage, Commercial, and Treasury Services. Perform branch operational duties as assigned by the Branch Manager in accordance with operational procedures. Participate in marketing and awareness campaigns to grow the customer base. Consult customers on consumer loan options, explain terms, process applications accurately, discuss debt ratios and consumer reports, and ensure proper loan documentation for non‑real estate loans. Serve as teller maintaining a cash drawer, accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing cash advances and loan payments, and other teller transactions accurately and courteously. Complete training within expected timeframes. In some markets, handle cash vault duties such as end‑of‑day balancing, vault and currency log preparation, currency orders, electronic workflow entry, and daily teller reports. Assist Personal Banker I with complex duties including business accounts, IRA distributions and openings, and other occasional responsibilities. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of banking experience in all account opening, servicing, and maintenance with demonstrated proficiency. Effective listening skills and the ability to provide solutions without interruptions. Patience and willingness to help others in solving problems with a positive attitude. Proven record of outstanding customer service. Proficiency using banking platforms and common office software and systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation skills and influence ability. Strong attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods. Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods. Ability to travel as needed.

Salary

$19.52–$26.41 per hour – Grade 5.
