Strategic Purchasing Specialist

Peterson Industrial Peterson Industrial is a northeast mechanical contracting company located in Ashville, AL. The company specializes in food industry maintenance and construction projects. Responsibilities

Work with established vendors to acquire pricing for materials and equipment.

Submit costs to project managers and operation managers for project bids in a timely manner.

Rent and track equipment on multiple projects.

Shop suppliers for parts, tools and equipment for mechanical work.

Purchase and keep an operating inventory for fabrication shop and parts operations.

Assist parts department with purchasing and shipping to vendors.

Assist office operations manager when requested with operation needs.

Qualifications

Self-starter who requires very little supervision and a positive can-do attitude.

Experience in mechanical industrial purchasing is recommended.

Salaried position with pay to be based on experience and work ethic. $50K+
