
Estimate Writer for Standby Roster

In pre-emptive for the upcoming CAT season, Hancock is looking for seasonal 1099 Estimate Writers to join our roster.
As an Estimate Writer, you will work closely with Field Representatives, Insurance Adjusters, Clients, Customers, and all parties involved in claims remediation to produce accurate estimates for damage assessments and carrier loss evaluation.
*This is a remote 1099 Subcontractor position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and develop insurance estimates using field inspection documentation, photographs and scope sheets
Develop estimates including creation of accurate roof diagrams in Xactimate Sketch
Write supplemental estimates
Communicate with various team members to settle issues of scopeComplete and submit estimates for insurance carriers
Handles all estimating inquiries for the team and demonstrate high level of problem resolution and technical assistance.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Submits estimates in a timely manner determined by company requirements
Provides technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants, and others
Updates status of job within company software program
Other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
Demonstrated
Xactimate Estimator
competence, knowledge, and proficiency (Level 2 preferred)
2+ years of field experience in roofing estimating or insurance adjusting
XactAnalysis
experience required
Symbility
experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Hold a valid/active claim adjusting license (states may vary)
Not required but always a plus – Experience in Symbility
Not required but always a plus – Experience in Commercial claims
Effective time management skills, able to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlinesIntermediate to advanced computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Professional written and oral communication skills
High school graduate (Some College preferred)
