Jacobs is seeking Entry Level Construction Management Professionals to join our Project Management/Construction Management (PMCM) teams in locations across the U.S. working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and be involved in a variety of construction management tasks for our clients. Jacobs’ Program Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team ensures successful project delivery by offering comprehensive services such as program planning, design management, construction management, risk management, and facility commissioning. They also provide tailored specialty services like performance management, safety plan development, logistics planning, and stakeholder coordination to meet client-specific needs.
Responsibilities
Reviewing RFIs and Submittals Attending weekly project meetings and taking meeting minutes Creating project schedules Creating and reviewing estimates and contractor proposals Ensuring schedule and budget are maintained within acceptable parameters Assisting in the day‑to‑day management of construction projects Supporting the development and maintenance of project schedules Coordinating activities between contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers Participating in site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications Assisting in monitoring project budgets and tracking expenses Contributing to the preparation of progress reports and project documentation Managing and updating project‑related documents and drawings Attending and contributing to project meetings with team members and clients Assisting in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies Supporting the implementation of safety protocols and procedures on‑site Coordinating material deliveries and managing on‑site inventory This position demands a results‑driven, client‑focused professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong work ethic. You’ll take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related degree Previous construction management experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Previous experience working in a corporate engineering environment Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings
