Job Summary
The eBranch Lending Specialist is responsible for making loan decisions, cross selling products & services, and providing assistance on delinquent accounts. Must assist in all aspects of lending to ensure excellent service to the membership. This position is located on-site in a back office environment with the flexibility of a home office at our Rock Hill Center or Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC.
Job Duties
Must have knowledge of and comply with all applicable State Statutes and Regulations relating to Credit Union, National Credit Union Rules and Regulations, Consumer Regulations and Visa regulations.
Assist membership via telephone by providing loan services and information in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner. Also responsible for reviewing online & mobile loan applications and delivering a timely response to the membership.
Assist in loan fraud detection and prevention by completing a thorough review of the loan application and credit file.
Have complete working knowledge of loan and Visa products and policies. Must evaluate applications and credit criteria to effectively make decisions on loans/cards to members while adhering to Founders Federal Credit Union lending matrix limits and guidelines. Must possess the ability to successfully cross-sell our products and services.
Make certain all loans are properly secured with necessary collateral and that proper insurance coverage is obtained.
Assist with collections of delinquent accounts.
Must maintain integrity to all credit union files.
Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Must have a minimum of two years’ financial institution experience or a two-year degree.
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and a positive attitude.
Must be self‑motivated, able to meet goals established for the role, and confident in cross selling to our membership.
