Associate Property Manager

The Associate Property Manager (APM) functions as an apprenticeship to a Property Manager, pairing hands‑on operational responsibility with structured mentorship from experienced Property Managers. APMs support property care, inspections, and operational coordination, while learning the full scope of portfolio management, revenue strategy, and homeowner relationship management.

Core Responsibilities

Support day‑to‑day operations of property management

Conduct routine and pre‑arrival property inspections; identify areas for property improvement; document findings and follow up

Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure homes meet brand and quality standards

Perform light home maintenance as needed

Assist with turnover readiness, punch lists, and preventative maintenance

Monitor property condition trends and elevate concerns to the Property Manager

Maintain accurate notes and documentation in CRM and property management systems

Operational Coordination

Submit and track work orders; ensure timely completion and quality follow‑through

Partner with appropriate teams as needed on portfolio needs

Support new property onboarding as needed

Assist with compliance items as needed

Development & Training

Participate in structured training programs focused on homeowner relationship management, guest experience standards, operational excellence and leadership skills, and shadow senior Property Managers to learn full portfolio ownership and decision‑making

Team Support

Assist with special projects and process improvements

Contribute to a collaborative, service‑oriented team culture

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred

1–2 years of experience in hospitality, property management, customer service, or related field preferred

Demonstrated interest in a long‑term career in property or portfolio management

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

High attention to detail and follow‑through

Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment

Tech‑savvy with ability to learn property management systems and mobile tools

Professional judgment and emotional intelligence when interacting with owners, guests, and co‑workers

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to conduct property inspections requiring walking, climbing stairs, and physical assessment

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and ability to conduct in‑market property visits regularly

Available for evening/weekend inspections, calls, or property emergencies

Primarily market‑based role with a combination of office and field work
