
Field Service Representative

Position Summary
The Field Service Representative is TYM North America's on-the-ground technical expert for diesel tractors. This role travels to dealer locations and customer sites to provide technical support and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, support and train dealer technicians, and ensure equipment uptime. It requires advanced diagnostic knowledge, independent judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision across a multi-state territory. The Field Service Representative serves as a link between TYM and our customers, providing feedback to TYM on customer needs and preferences as well as equipment issues and/or failures.
Job Functions
Troubleshoot, test, repair and service TYM products and equipment
Provide service, training, and customer support during field visits
Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of TYM products; provide effective solutions to technical or mechanical problems
Document processes and procedures
Operate vehicles and machinery in a safe manner
Follow company procedures and protocols
Cooperate with internal technical teams and share information across the organization
Making appropriate recommendations and briefing on repairs, diagnostics and equipment specifications
Build positive relationships with customers
Work with products that cannot be easily transported because of their size or link to other systems.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on diesel engine and/or agricultural equipment repair experience; TYM tractor experience strongly preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, and drivetrain components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and OEM technical service documentation.
Experience with electronic diagnostic tools, scan tools, and OEM-specific service software.
Strong mechanical reasoning, analytical thinking, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly document repair findings and communicate technical information to non-technical customers and dealers.
Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company service vehicle.
Ability to travel up to 50% to dealer locations and customer sites within assigned territory.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work in varied outdoor and shop environments, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and extended standing.
Preferred
Associate degree or technical certification in Diesel Technology, Agricultural Mechanics, or a closely related field.
Familiarity with TYM, LS, or Korean-manufactured tractor product lines.
Experience in warranty administration and OEM claim processing.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
Ability to travel internationally (Korea or other TYM facilities) as needed.
