Title: Photographer
Location: Remote
Anticipated start date: Rolling Basis
Reporting Manager: Zoe Finkelstein
Work Samples Required: Candidates must share a curated portfolio of photography work that highlights relevant experience, creative range, and technical proficiency.
Job Summary Photographers are responsible for capturing our events through the camera lens. They will photograph every dance that crosses the stage using the provided stationary Canon DSLR camera. Additional responsibilities include identifying standout performances for the Content Producer to review and share with the Social Media Coordinator. Photographers are also responsible for setting up and managing the event lighting software throughout the competition.
Responsibilities
Set up photo equipment.
Set up stage lighting.
Capture photos of every dance.
Photograph special moments such as awards ceremonies and onstage celebrations.
Toggle between lighting cues for when a dance performs, in-between dances, and for award ceremonies.
Provide Content Producer with a list of standout entries for great social media photos.
Possess a basic understanding of shot composition, framing, and color balance to consistently capture visually compelling and well-balanced photos.
Break down photo and lighting equipment after the event has concluded.
Comply with all policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook.
Adhere to all other duties as assigned by event director or designee.
Compensation 200.00 - 305.00 USD per day (Remote)
