Associate Designer, Socks

Job Overview: We are currently looking for a creative, driven, self-motivated Associate Designer to join our Design Team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in socks, but we are open to someone coming from other categories. (Please be open to doing a small project if you don't have sock work to show). This position will require you to have a general understanding of all contemporary/fashion brands and customer requirements to ensure that your designs will go with the direction of our Sales Team. You will also need to create and maintain the standard guidelines by brand/customer so they’re up to date, accessible, and available on shared drives. *You must be able to submit a portfolio for this role* Key Responsibilities: • Creating style plans based on the sales teams needs and emerging trends • Create Illustrator sketches; review specification sheets and line sheets; ensure accuracy of product development logs, line sheets, boards, and design archives library; ensure maintenance of designs in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system or shared drives • Extensive knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication, and trim; familiarity with print design and manufacturing. • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, multiple projects, under tight deadlines, with strong project and time management skills • Communicating with licensors on brand management & styles • Work collaboratively with Sales and Production team on all projects in a creative, timely & cost efficient manner • Attention to detail, excellent verbal & written skills • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Experience and Skills: • Portfolio a must to be considered! • Experience in socks preferred or open to another apparel/footwear category • Degree in fashion design, or a related field that demonstrates your dedication to the industry (not required but preferred) • Minimum of two-year experience in the fashion industry • Highly proficient with adobe illustrator and photoshop • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Holds self and others accountable for work commitments and outcomes. • Impeccable time management skills with great sense of urgency • Highly organized and detail oriented with great appreciation for accuracy Salary Disclosure: Majesty Brands is committed to offering a compensation package that reflects the qualifications and experience of the individual. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. While the posted salary range is $60,000 – $80,000, we recognize the value of exceptional talent and are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
