Provides marketing support to key initiatives through creation of deliverables focused on technical capabilities and benefits.
Coordinates development of non‑proposal support materials such as brochures, presentations, ensuring consistency of message and adherence to quality and brand standards.
Applies knowledge of Abbott’s overall service offerings including strategic initiatives.
Supports and leads pursuit teams to advance positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with clients; coordinates all aspects of pursuits including team coordination, messaging, formatting, proofreading, graphics coordination, editing, quality reviews, compliance, brand adherence, and efficient production.
Contributes to content development for proposals and other collateral pieces under supervision.
Supports action planning and progress tracking.
Conducts research to identify best Abbott qualifications (experience matrix, project descriptions, resumes) and competitor information.
Responds to requests for information and client research assistance.
Helps create and maintain well‑organized, accessible, up‑to‑date qualification statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits; includes writing, researching, and editing.
Handles proposal "break down" and "unpacking": updates to Cosential, shares new content via AdobeCC or boilerplate library.
Develops proficiency creating proposals as well as other sales and marketing deliverables, with clear processes.
Gains reputation for consistently high customer service.
Reviews best practices and products, adopts ideas into BD support and proposal efforts.
Seeks input, identifies development opportunities, leverages resources.
Understands and supports compliance with Abbott’s capture planning.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or related field (or equivalent education and experience).
3–5 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing; AEC industry experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on persuasive writing and presentation ability; experience coaching others in interviews/presentations preferred.
Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
Compensation & Benefits
The full salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.
