POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist to elevate Sprezzatura's brand presence, support high-visibility corporate initiatives, and drive communication strategies across internal and external channels. In this role, you'll craft compelling narratives, develop data-informed content, strengthen engagement across GovCon audiences, and support executive communications for a fast-growing, impact-driven consulting firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about strategic storytelling, digital engagement, brand-building, and modernizing communications within the federal contracting ecosystem.
You'll collaborate across corporate functions: BD, Operations, HR, Delivery, and Leadership to ensure the Sprezzatura brand is cohesive, credible, and differentiated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Brand Messaging
- Develop high-quality content including blogs, newsletters, case studies, capability summaries, press releases, website copy, and thought leadership pieces.
- Craft executive-level communications, including announcements, talking points, corporate updates, and leadership messaging.
- Maintain brand consistency and elevate Sprezzatura's voice across all channels.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns aligned to company priorities, events, and BD pursuits.
- Manage editorial calendars and ensure timely delivery of content across social media, newsletters, and internal platforms.
- Track performance metrics and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
Digital Communications
- Oversee social media content creation, scheduling, and analytics (LinkedIn primary).
- Collaborate on website enhancements, SEO alignment, and digital storytelling strategies.
- Create visually compelling collateral using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Internal Communications
- Enhance internal alignment through clear, engaging communication on programs, initiatives, and culture.
- Support change management communications for corporate projects, operational updates, and new strategic efforts.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with BD and Proposal teams to support marketing-aligned proposal content and capabilities narratives.
- Work with HR to refine talent branding, recruitment messaging, and employee engagement initiatives.
Event Coordination/Support
- Provide creative support for events, conferences, and corporate-hosted engagements.
- Purchase swag, marketing collateral, and other items for industry events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Business, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, within technology, consulting, or a highly regulated industry, with at least 3 years of experience in GovCon
- Proven experience owning content strategy and digital communications for a brand or organization
- Experience translating technical concepts into clear, engaging, human-centered messaging
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating diverse content types
- Strong social media strategy execution (LinkedIn required)
- Expertise in crafting strategic narratives for both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent visual content platforms
- Familiarity with SEO, content analytics, and engagement tracking tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience in government technology or federal digital transformation
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud modernization, data analytics, enterprise IT, or digital services
- Experience supporting BD teams or proposal marketing
- Familiarity with HubSpot or CRM marketing tools
- Experience supporting employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday with 2-3 days in the Arlington, VA office. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
