Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Multimedia Design intern will support Goodwill Industries of San Antonio in the research, development, and execution of storytelling and communications that advance the organization’s mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work. This hands‑on internship is ideal for a college student interested in social media, photography, video production, and mission-driven storytelling. The intern will work closely with the Multimedia Design Manager and gain real-world experience creating content for digital platforms, covering events, and assisting with video projects from concept through execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Multimedia Design Manager in implementing Goodwill San Antonio’s communications and storytelling strategy.

Create original, mission-driven content for social media, including short‑form video, photography, captions, and basic edits.

Assist with on‑site coverage of events, including photography, video capture, and behind-the-scenes content.

Support video projects by assisting with pre‑production, filming, and post‑production tasks as needed.

Identify and help develop success stories that illustrate the impact of Goodwill San Antonio’s programs and services.

Conduct research on social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to help elevate brand.

Assist with scheduling and organizing outreach events and media opportunities.

Help maintain and organize the photo and video library.

Participate in content planning meetings and incorporate feedback.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, Film, or a related field.

Strong interest in storytelling, social media, photography, and video production.

Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and short‑form video trends.

Basic experience with tools such as Canva, Capcut, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or similar software.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with staff, partners, and community members, with sensitivity to personal stories.
