Jim Taylor Auto Group is looking for a full-time Body Shop Apprentice to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, detail-oriented, and ready to grow in a hands‑on collision repair environment.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning step-by-step processes, and taking pride in doing quality work the right way. The right candidate is steady, respectful, team-oriented, and motivated to build a long‑term career in the body shop. Previous body shop, automotive, paint, repair, or shop experience is preferred, but we are willing to invest in someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications
Body shop, automotive, mechanical, paint, or general shop experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and follow process
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
Valid driver’s license required
Positive attitude, steady approach, and desire to grow in the collision industry
Responsibilities
Assist body shop technicians with vehicle repairs and daily shop tasks
Help with vehicle disassembly and reassembly
Prepare vehicles and parts for repair, sanding, masking, and refinishing
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow repair procedures, shop processes, and safety standards carefully
Use tools and equipment properly and responsibly
Support team productivity by staying focused, prepared, and ready to help
Learn collision repair techniques from experienced technicians and leader
